Over a 45-year career, Mattia Bonetti has straddled manifold disciplines, from textiles to photography to interiors. Showing under the aegis of , the designer reveals why his furnishings are frequently tagged as “whimsical” or “surreal.”

Sinuous lines flow through various media in tables like acrylic Bubblegum, stainless steel Yo-Yo, and glazed fiberglass DW4. Bonetti also proves his proclivity for color in the Cut Out sofa, covered in a collage of leathers, and the Happy Birthday cabinet, the aluminum-leafed wood structure bedecked in supersize blossoms and secured with a cast-bronze bow.
